BH Network KYC Tutorial and FAQ

Please note: following this tutorial does not guarantee a completed and passed check - it only provides you with the best chance of your documents being accepted.

KYC and AML FAQs

In this first section of our post, we will go through some of the fundamental questions of KYC and AML.

After these questions, we will give you tips on how best to complete your KYC and AML checks, followed by more specific questions regarding the BHero and Synaps process.

What is a KYC Check?

A KYC (Know Your Customer) check is a way of:

  1. Verifying people's identity.
  2. Ensuring documents match with the person.
  3. Protecting businesses and other customers from high-risk connections.

The KYC process is a standard screening process within the investment industry to ensure investors and advisors understand and comply with various factors of investment:

  • Investment knowledge.
  • Yours or your clients’ risk tolerance.
  • Financial position.

The KYC process protects advisors, clients, and the project and can provide a clearer view of risk management, transaction monitoring, and customer acceptance policies.

What are AML Checks?

AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks help prevent financial crimes such as money laundering. AML checks are constantly advancing to keep up with the financial systems, fiat, and cryptocurrency.

AML checks will check for various data within watchlists, such as:

  • Users from sanctioned countries
  • Politically exposed people
  • Criminals
  • High-volume and suspicious transactions.

How to Complete Your KYC Checks

While there is no fool-proof method of being successful in your KYC checks, there are some things that you can do to ensure the best chances of being accepted.

Before continuing with the KYC steps, please review and ensure you agree to the Synaps Terms and Conditions and Privacy policy, the BH Network Terms of Sale, and the Bhero.com Terms and Conditions.

NOTE: Before continuing with the KYC, please ensure adblockers are turned OFF. Also, we recommend using Google Chrome for a good experience.

Documents Required for KYC Checks

Ensure that you have the following at hand and ready for use when requested:

  1. Passport (and National ID for EEA citizens) - Using your passport is easier for you and the KYC provider.
  2. Proof of residency document. The accepted documents are:
    • Utility bill (gas, water, or electricity).
    • Internet/broadband bill
    • Landline telephone bill
    • Certificate of accommodation/rent
    • Bank statement
  3. Bank statement:
    • IBAN / RIB statement with an issuing date within three (3) months.
    • Official bank documents from the country of residence.

Notes:

  1. Make sure that all documents are clear, easily visible, and complete with all four corners visible.
  2. Documents must include:
    • Business name (bank or supplier) and logo.
    • Full address.
    • Issuing date - within the last three (3) months or expiry date - NOT expired.

If there is any blurred or distorted (glare, etc.) information, you cannot see the whole document, all of the information requested, or if the documents are not within the last three (3) months, your application will be rejected.

After gathering all of the documents you require, you can proceed to the next step.
